What should be cleaned every visit, every week and every month, plus the extras a medical centre needs. Use it to brief your cleaners or to compare quotes.
The checklist by frequency
Every visit
- Desks and workstations wiped (clear desks)
- Phones, keyboards and mice
- Door handles, switches and rails
- Kitchen benches, sink and splashback
- Microwave and fridge fronts
- Toilets, basins and mirrors
- Hand towel, soap and paper restocked
- Bins emptied and relined
- Carpets vacuumed

Weekly
- Meeting rooms reset and wiped
- Glass partitions and doors
- Chair bases and legs
- Skirting boards and ledges
- Fridge cleared out (agreed day)
- Bathroom tiles and partitions scrubbed
- Lift buttons and stair rails
Monthly
- High dusting: vents and light fittings
- Inside microwave and fridge
- Blinds and window sills
- Fabric chairs vacuumed
- Under desks and behind bins
- Carpet spots treated
Medical centres add
- Waiting room chairs and tables, every visit
- Reception counter and screen, every visit
- Treatment beds and trolleys (surfaces)
- Hand basins and dispensers checked
- Consulting room floors mopped
- Children's play corner wiped
How to use it. Every site is different. A small studio might need the "every visit" list twice a week; a busy clinic needs it daily. When we quote, we agree which jobs happen how often and that becomes your site’s checklist, so nobody has to remember it.
Medical centres. We clean surfaces, furniture and patient areas. Clinical waste, sharps and sterilising instruments stay with your clinical team. Share your infection-control requirements when you request a quote and we’ll build them into the scope.
